Job Description

The Digital Strategy Director plays a central role in Brainjocks’ growth and business success. In addition to serving client needs for digital strategy development and implementation, the Digital Strategy Director is responsible for building and evangelizing Brainjocks’ strategy practice.

 

  • Work with clients to help map and execute digital strategies that support business objectives and leverage desired technologies using a combination of techniques (e.g.,workshops, user research, etc.)
  • Define and develop Brainjocks’ strategy practice in collaboration with senior leadership, including positioning and selling tools as well as creation of reusable workshops, campaigns and other services.
  • Evangelize Brainjocks’ strategy practice in the market, raising awareness of our strategy and marketing capabilities with marketing technologies and within the larger community.
  • Play an active role in new business initiatives: lead discussions about strategic approaches and collaborate on pitches to assist in the sale of strategy and marketing-focused services.
  • Provide insight to creative work to ensure creative meets clients’ business and strategic objectives.
  • Provide up-to-date thought leadership in strategy, industry trends, best practices and emerging platforms.
  • Build and manage a team of strategists and analysts to drive client success (with timing driven by budget and business needs).
  • Assist with sales and marketing initiatives such as pitch decks, webinars and case studies.
  • Assist with sales opportunities and consulting from the marketer’s perspective and offer input on the roadmap in alignment with marketer requirements.

Essential Role Responsibilities:
Required Competencies

  • Proven experience as a client-facing Digital Marketing Strategist in an agency setting
  • Deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape
  • Web analytics skills with deep knowledge of popular tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Content audit and analysis skills
  • Sales, presentation and persuasion skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, InformationSystems, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience managing a team (direct reports)

Preferred Competencies:

  • Sitecore expertise including SBOS certification
  • Experience working with Episerver

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and filing cabinets.

Position Type/Expected hours of work:

This is a full-time, exempt position. The days and hours of work for our US headquarters are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Some overseas travel may also be necessary.
